| Spring 2010 Film Festival |
| We are happy to welcome West Palm TV as a community partner.
West Palm TV is the City of West Palm Beach's "government access" TV channel. This is the resident's chance to see city government at work, to better understand the services the city provides, and to see some of the events going on around West Palm Beach. Public meetings, such as the City Commission meetings, are aired "gavel to gavel" - and most are aired live as they happen. The channel operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is seen on Comcast Cable channel 18.
The station also maintains a YouTube channel, where recent City News stories and other content is posted. Visit: YouTube.com/user/WestPalmTV

| "Africans in the Diaspora!" --- Haiti - Jamaica - Brazil |
Our Spring 2010 event represents the fifth season for the African-American Film Festival.
James Drayton, its founder and producer, is once again partnering with The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts to present the annual African-American Film Festival on three successive Thursday evenings: March 11, 18 and 25.
For the second season, we will expand our viewing audience to include a segment for the high school student population.
“Africans in the Diaspora” is the theme of this season’s Film Series. The selections are culturally eclectic, including Haitian, Jamaican and Brazilian films.
Presented as part of the Kravis Center’s ArtSmart series, the fifth annual African-American Film Festival will feature movies from Brazil, Haiti and Jamaica.
|
| The African-American Film Festival will be held at the Persson Rehearsal Hall in the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion.
Tickets are $10 per night or $25 for the entire festival.
